Optima Racing ("we", "us", "our") operates the website optimaracing.co.uk and delivers quantitative horse-racing selections by Telegram and email. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect

3. Why we use it (legal bases)
- To provide the service (deliver picks, manage your subscription) — performance of our contract with you.
- To run and secure the site (logs, fraud/abuse prevention) — our legitimate interests.
- Analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) — only with your consent, which you give via the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time.
- Service & legal messages (billing, important notices) — contract and legal obligation.
4. Cookies & similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies are required for the site to work; analytics cookies load only after you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers that help us run the service, each acting under a contract that requires them to protect it:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Telegram — delivery of your selections.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity — website analytics (only if you consent).
- Our hosting and email providers — to run the site and send service messages.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK/EU. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account and billing data for as long as you are a subscriber and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. Analytics data is retained according to the providers' standard retention settings. Server logs are kept only briefly.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: access a copy of your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to its use; and receive it in a portable format. You can also withdraw analytics consent at any time via "Cookie settings". To exercise any right, email hello@optimaracing.co.uk — we respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
8. Children
Optima Racing is strictly for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above always shows the current version, and material changes will be made clear on the site.
